Privacy Policy
National Courses respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988, the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012.
We also meet our obligations under the Data Provision Requirements 2011 and VET Data Collection Policy, which require student data to be securely retained for up to 30 years under the Standards for RTOs 2015.
National Courses uses staff based in Australia, Indonesia, and the Philippines for customer service, administration, and data-entry tasks. All staff are provided with only the minimum system access required to perform their duties, and all staff agree to comply with Australian privacy laws, regulations, and strict confidentiality requirements.
Information We Collect
We collect personal information directly from you or your authorised representative. This may include your contact details, date of birth, training history, Unique Student Identifier (USI), and feedback.

How We Use and Protect Your Information
National Courses will:

Use your information only within our cpompany. We will not shre your infomration with any other company or person without your permision.

Keep personal data accurate, up to date, and stored securely

Disclose information only to authorised parties (e.g., ASQA, SafeWork, funding bodies)

Destroy or delete information when it is no longer required

Allow you access to your personal information upon request
Paperwork in Face-to-Face Classes
During face-to-face classes, all student paperwork (including enrolment forms, assessments, and attendance sheets) is securely stored in lockable filing cabinets located in each training room.
At the end of each month, these documents are collected by our State Administration team and transported to our North Sydney head office, where they are securely stored for the required retention period.
All paperwork is retained in hard copy only and is not converted to digital files, except for the daily attendance sheet, which is scanned or emailed to our processing team for record-keeping.
USI Access and Permission
By enrolling, you give National Courses permission to:

Locate or verify your USI using the personal details you provide

Create a USI on your behalf if needed
We will never update or share your USI without your consent, except as required by law for training and certification purposes.
Photos, Reviews, and Marketing
By agreeing to this privacy statment, you agree that National Courses PTY LTD can use the following.

Photos or videos taken during classes (by trainers or students) may be used for marketing or promotional purposes (an example may be that some student take photos during the class and upload them to our google business profile)

Reviews or feedback you provide may be quoted in marketing materials (last name will not be used). An example of this would be if you leave us a google review. This is then show on google maps and also pull through to our website review carousel.

Please notify us in respone to your confirmation email If you do not wish your image or comments to be used and we will ensure that is upheld.
Access and Complaints
You can request access to your personal information or make a privacy-related complaint at any time by emailing admin@nationalcourses.edu.au.
Complaints will be handled according to our Complaints and Appeals Policy, available on our website and in the Student Handbook.
