CPR Course Information

HLTAID009 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

The CPR is a course commonly attended by people needing to do their annual refresher of the course. Although if you are only requiring the CPR unit and have not done it before this course is still suitable for you.

How long is this course valid

Your CPR certificate remains valid for one year. The Australian Resuscitation Council advises undertaking a CPR refresher course every 12 months.HLTAID009: Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

Duration of Course

The Cpr Course is all face-to-face. There is no online or prior learning required. The course runs for 3 hours.

In this CPR course, participants will learn about:

  • DRSABCD Action Plan
  • Addressing Emergency Scenarios
  • Handling Casualties Who Are Unconscious yet Breathing
  • Operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Administering CPR to Adults and Infants
  • Navigating Legal Considerations and Infection Control

Who is the course for?

This course is specifically for those directed by their employers to renew their CPR certification. Typically, attendees renew the CPR component of their course annually to stay current with the latest information. Most attendees attend this course primarily for that reason.

CPR Certificate

All participants must undergo an assessment after training for the CPR Course

All our first Aid certificates come with a QR code. This QR code can be scanned by your employer to verify authenticity.

All participants that successfully complete the first aid course will be issued a statement of attainment (certificate)

You will be issued your first aid certificate straight after your course to use immediately.

  • Verbal and written comprehension of the English language
  • Obtain a USI – usi.gov.au Everyone can get a USI. Its very simple. Just click the link and follow the prompts.
  • Appropriate clothing
  • Identification
  • Course duration for training and assessment is 3 hours
  • Various locations, view locations tab
  • Face to face delivery (we do not offer online courses)
  • CPR covers
  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Review the incident
  • Allowances can be made for participants with language, literacy & numeracy issues.

RPL recognises people who already have the knowledge and skills required for competency in various elements of units of an accredited training package should not be required to re-learn what they already know. The process of RPL also takes into account that various competencies can be acquired through:

  • previous qualification,
  • work experience and
  • Life experience

RPL requires that evidence of competency are demonstrated. Please contact the RTO if you feel you are eligible for this assessment pathway.

  • Change your class location, time and date at anytime on one occasion at no extra cost. No questions asked. As long as you contact us before your class start time. If you do not show up and make no contact prior to the class start time you forfeit the booking.
